Il Ritmo dell'Assenza The Rhythm of Absence

Throughout the development of the theory, we have defined oblivion time (⊖) as the minimal and indivisible interval separating two instantaneous presents. So far, the present has been seen as the fundamental unit of existence, while ⊖ represented the void, the absence, the "non-time." But if we look deeper into the rhythmic mechanism of the universe, a new, more subtle conceptual possibility emerges: what if it is precisely the oblivion time that represents true time? And what if the instantaneous present is nothing more than a frozen illusion, devoid of real duration?

Il Presente Istantaneo come Immagine priva di Tempo The Instantaneous Present as a Timeless Image

The instantaneous present, as we have described it, is a perfectly still frame: everything it contains is stationary, determined, frozen. In that frame: particles do not move, forces do not act, there is no variation, no past, no future. We can therefore say that the instantaneous present, while necessary to define reality in a given "snapshot," has no temporal extension in itself. It is a point without duration, an absolute suspension.

Il Tempo Nasce dal Vuoto tra i Presenti Time is Born from the Void Between Presents

It is therefore the oblivion time ⊖ that generates the sense of time. If there were no ⊖, all instantaneous presents would exist together, superimposed, indistinguishable. The ⊖ prevents the simultaneity of everything, creating separation. Only thanks to ⊖ is it possible to say: "this is after that." The before and after do not exist in the presents, but in the empty space that separates them. Time, therefore, is not in the moments, but in the rhythm.

Un Tempo Fatto di Silenzi A Time Made of Silences

Music does not exist without the silence between the notes. A melody is made as much of vibrations as it is of pauses. Likewise, time is not the set of instantaneous presents, but the rhythm of their spacing. The oblivion time is the true temporal agent. It is what allows time to exist as a succession, as a narrative, as an ordered flow and not as simultaneous chaos.

This vision does not contradict what has been stated in the theory, but reinforces it. The instantaneous presents remain the static blocks of reality. The oblivion time ⊖ remains the space between them. But now we can recognize that it is precisely this space that makes time possible. In other words: the present is the form, ⊖ is the dynamic. Without ⊖, there is no time; there would only be an eternal, motionless present.

Conclusione Conclusion

It is not the present that generates time. It is the oblivion time that makes the existence of the present possible, preventing everything from happening in a single instant. It is the rhythmic absence that builds becoming. In this sense, the true substance of time is not what appears, but what separates. And what separates is not a sterile void, but a creative, generative, structuring void.
