Capitolo 11 Chapter 11

Materia Oscura, Energia Oscura e Asincronia Temporale Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Temporal Asynchrony

Universi sfalsati e realtà invisibili: l’ipotesi dell’asincronia. Staggered universes and invisible realities: the asynchrony hypothesis.

A preliminary note: We are now entering more speculative territory. While the previous chapters sought to reinterpret known physical phenomena, this chapter proposes a bolder, more hypothetical extension of the theory. We present it not as a definitive statement, but as a cosmological thought experiment, a "light and imaginative" exploration of what the logic of discrete time might imply for the greatest mysteries of the universe.

1. Il problema dell’invisibile1. The problem of the invisible

One of the greatest challenges in modern physics is explaining what we do not see but what acts upon us. The observable universe, with all its galaxies, stars, and planets, seems to represent only a small percentage of the total content of the cosmos. Estimates suggest that only 5% of the universe is made of ordinary matter. The remaining 95% is composed of dark matter and dark energy. But what are they? Why don't we see them? Where are they?

2. L’intuizione asincrona2. The asynchronous intuition

According to the Oblivion Time Theory, there is an explanation that does not require new particles or exotic forces, but a paradigm shift: dark matter and dark energy might not be "dark" at all, but simply out of phase with our Oblivion Time. Just as two films projected at different frame rates do not overlap correctly, a reality whose fundamental rhythm (${\Theta}$) is different from ours cannot be directly perceived, despite exerting physical effects.

3. Universi asincroni3. Asynchronous universes

Let's imagine that each reality has its own characteristic oblivion time. If our time is marked by a click ${\Theta_0}$, the perceived universe is formed at this rhythm. But if there are realities with a different oblivion time—${\Theta_1, \Theta_2}$, etc.—these would coexist with ours but be completely out of sync. We would not see their particles, we would not receive their light, but we would be subject to their gravitational influence, just as we observe in the case of dark matter. It is like trying to clap along with someone who claps to a completely different beat.

4. La gravità come ponte tra asincronie4. Gravity as a bridge between asynchronies

However, there is one force that does not seem to depend on synchrony: gravity. According to this view, gravity is insensitive to oblivion time, or rather, it acts as an integral effect on the density of instantaneous presents even when out of phase. This would explain why dark matter curves spacetime, despite being unobservable in any other way. It is present, but not in our instant. Gravity thus becomes a weak and silent bridge between asynchronous universes.

5. L’energia oscura come spinta di divergenza5. Dark energy as a divergence push

E l’energia oscura? And dark energy? According to the Oblivion hypothesis, it could derive from a background interference between incompatible oblivion times, generating an overall push for the expansion of our universe. In other words, dark energy would be the cumulative effect of realities moving away from us along different temporal axes, producing a tension in spacetime that we measure as the cosmological constant.

6. Uno zoo di universi disallineati6. A zoo of misaligned universes

The universe, then, would not be a single stage, but a set of overlapping stages, each with its own rhythm. What we call "dark matter" could simply be matter in another rhythm. And what we call "dark energy" could be the universe's effort to remain coherent despite the dissonances. Each asynchronous universe contributes to a larger orchestration, of which we see only one section.
