At the heart of our theory, ${\Theta}$ sets the rhythm of reality: click after click, the world is built in discrete sequences. However, there is an experience that seems to escape this rule, a dimension that does not seem to belong to the ${\Theta}$ grid but rather to observe it from the outside: consciousness.
Il pensiero come osservatore esternoThought as an external observer
Thinking is a mysterious act. When we close our eyes and remember, or imagine, we are perhaps traversing moments of our lives that no longer exist. We are reconstructing time in our minds, but not bound by the Oblivion Time: we can cross years in an instant. This suggests that thought is not subject to quantized time, but acts as an external observer. The Oblivion Time acts in the physical world, but consciousness dwells elsewhere.
La coscienza come funzione di sincroniaConsciousness as a function of synchrony
If in the quantized world everything is separated by ${\Theta}$, consciousness seems to be the thread that unites. Thought is a function of synchrony: it connects separate instants, relates them, makes them coherent in a narrative. It is what makes sense, continuity, history possible. In this sense, consciousness acts as an intertemporal bridge, as an internal cosmologist of experience.
L’eterno osservatoreThe eternal observer
In myth and philosophy, the idea of the "eternal observer" returns in many forms: God, the soul, the transcendental Self. Our theory does not claim to define it, but suggests that there is a component of reality that is not immersed in the ${\Theta}$ grid, but rather contemplates it. This observer is not subject to time, but sees it happen.
Time, in our theory, is made of jumps. But someone or something watches these jumps from the outside. That someone is us, every time we think. To think is to watch from the outside, to be beyond ${\Theta}$, to touch the absolute for a moment.
