Solo silenzio. Oblio. The Oblivion Time Theory suggests a radical reversal: reality does not flow, but manifests in snapshots. Every "now" is nothing more than a frame of the universe, a perfectly still image. What we call time is the rhythm with which these instants follow one another. And between one snapshot and the next... there is nothing. Only silence. Oblivion.
Quantum mechanics had already taught us to be wary of continuity: particles do not move, they jump. Electrons do not orbit the nucleus: they appear, disappear, relocate. What if time also followed this discontinuous logic?
In the model we propose, each temporal jump is separated by a minimal interval of real nothingness, ${\Theta}$. If time itself is not continuous, then reality evolves by jumps. But what happens in that "nothingness" between one frame and the next? The answer is unsettling: nothing happens. The state of the universe, in that micro-interval, does not exist. It is not on pause. It is absent.
This leads us to a profound reflection on the nature of being. If we exist only during the clicks of ${\Theta}$, then our being is intermittent. But our consciousness, that spark that connects one click to the next, may not belong to this rhythm. It may be observing the sequence, rather than being part of it. Perhaps this is precisely what makes us perceive time as something that flows, when in reality it is just jumping.
Time does not flow. So what gives us the illusion that everything changes? It is memory, the mental structure that connects the clicks. Objective reality narrates nothing: it simply happens. Each instantaneous present is a self-sufficient whole. In the next present, everything changes not because something has moved, but because everything has jumped to a new configuration.
Conclusion: time as the beat of the universe. No longer a flowing river, but a pulsating heart. Not a flying arrow, but a cosmic metronome. Reality, after all, does not move: it happens in rhythm. Time does not flow. Reality jumps. And perhaps, only consciousness... listens.
