Capitolo 27 Chapter 27

Oblio e Divino Oblivion and the Divine

Connessioni tra la Teoria e le Grandi Tradizioni Spirituali. Connections between the Theory and Great Spiritual Traditions.

If science seeks to describe how the world works, religion has always attempted to explain why it exists. In this chapter, we venture into a borderland where theoretical physics and mystical intuition touch. The Oblivion Time—that absolute void between two instants, that "${\Theta}$" which marks the discontinuity in reality—is surprisingly reminiscent of many concepts found in humanity's deepest spiritual traditions. These analogies are not dogmatic, but symbolic. The theory of quantized time suggests a pulsating world, made of "being" and "non-being," just as many religions have intuited.

1. Buddhismo – Il Vuoto e l’Impermanenza 1. Buddhism – The Void and Impermanence

In Buddhist thought, the concept of Śūnyatā ("emptiness") is fundamental. The void is not a negation, but an overcoming of the illusion of fixed existence: nothing is permanent. Everything appears and disappears in a continuous arising and passing away. Similarly, in our theory, time is a sequence of discontinuous instants, separated by ${\Theta}$—a void between two realities. In this void nothing happens, yet from it everything can arise. The illusion of continuous time is similar to that of a solid self. Suffering, according to Buddhism, arises precisely from attachment to this illusion. Recognizing that everything exists only as a succession of separate instants leads to freedom. In this view, our theory is a possible scientific translation of what the Buddha intuited.

2. Cristianesimo – L’Eternità e il Verbo 2. Christianity – Eternity and the Word

In Christian theology, God is eternal, meaning outside of time. Eternity is not infinite time, but the absence of time. The universe is born from the "Word" (Logos), an emergence from eternal silence. This "creative act" can be compared to the transition from ${\Theta}$ to an instantaneous present. The instantaneous present is the manifestation of the world; the Oblivion Time is the eternity of God, a creative void. Even the death and resurrection of Christ can be read in an oblivionic key: a suspension between two ${\Theta}$s, an awakening in a new present, like the body in the tomb during Holy Saturday. The spiritual experience of silence in prayer is an approach to ${\Theta}$, the instant between two thoughts.

3. Ebraismo – Il Tzimtzum e il Silenzio Creatore 3. Judaism – The Tzimtzum and the Creative Silence

In Jewish Kabbalah, the concept of Tzimtzum describes how God had to "withdraw" or "contract" to make space for something other than Himself in order to create the world. This primordial "empty space" is where creation can manifest. The Oblivion Time, ${\Theta}$, is the scientific echo of this act: it is the "withdrawal" of existence between one instant and the next, a necessary void for each new Instantaneous Present to emerge.

4. Induismo – Il Non-Tempo e il Respiro di Brahma 4. Hinduism – Non-Time and the Breath of Brahma

In Hindu thought, time is cyclical. The universe is born and dies in cycles (Kalpas), corresponding to a breath of Brahma. During inhalation, the world disappears; during exhalation, it reappears. This alternation is akin to the structure of ${\Theta}$. The concept of Akāla ("non-time") is identical to oblivion time: the void between two presents. The supreme state of Yoga, Samādhi, is the fusion with the whole, outside of time. It is the direct observation of the grid of instantaneous presents and the ${\Theta}$ voids that separate them, the moment when the observer and the universe synchronize.

5. Islam – La Luce e il Tempo come Segno 5. Islam – Light and Time as a Sign

Nell'Islam, Dio (Allah) è associato alla luce e all’ordine. In Islam, God (Allah) is associated with light and order. The Quran recites: "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth." In our theory, light is the fastest "click," adhering to the ${\Theta}$ structure. This coincides with the Islamic conception of light as the divine vehicle of order. Furthermore, the Quran states that "Everything has a written term," echoing quantization. It is precisely ${\Theta}$ that constitutes the hidden register of time, the unseen (ghayb) that only Allah knows.

6. Shintoismo – Il Kami e il Vuoto Invisibile 6. Shintoism – The Kami and the Invisible Void

In Shintoism, kami are spiritual forces that inhabit everything. A central element is the void as a creative potential. In the Oblivion Time, ${\Theta}$ is the void between the full. The kami, which emerge and retreat, can be interpreted as manifestations that synchronize with the ${\Theta}$ grid. The Shinto universe is perceived, not explained; thus ${\Theta}$ is intuited in its effects. The transience of beauty (mono no aware) suggests that the meaning of existence arises from its fleetingness. Our theory suggests that it is absence (${\Theta}$) that gives value to presence.

✦ La Convergenza tra Scienza e Spiritualità ✦✦ The Convergence of Science and Spirituality ✦

Modern physics has approached these concepts: quantum mechanics with discrete states, relativity with non-universal time. The Oblivion Time Theory proposes a further step: there is no continuity between instants. The universe is made of clicks. And between one click and the next, there is the divine. There is the creative void, there is the Spirit, there is the Absolute. This void is what religious enlightenment has always sought to describe. Today, we can observe it with the rational mind. But only intuition can cross it.

Spiritual intuition is the language of consciousness outside of time.
The Oblivion Time Theory is its scientific translation.
