Il Vuoto Creatore e la Danza degli Istanti The Creative Void and the Dance of Instants

The encounter between the Oblivion Time Theory and Buddhist thought is not an attempt at syncretism, but the observation of a surprising resonance. For over 2500 years, Buddhism has explored the nature of reality and consciousness with an introspective rigor that today finds an unexpected echo in the language of quantized physics. The concepts of Emptiness (Śūnyatā), Impermanence (Anicca), and Non-Self (Anattā) are not just spiritual doctrines, but precise descriptions of a universe that "jumps" instead of flowing.

Śūnyatā: il Vuoto che Fonda l'EsistenzaŚūnyatā: The Void that Founds Existence

The deepest and most often misunderstood concept in Mahayana Buddhism is Śūnyatā. It does not mean "nothingness" in a nihilistic sense, but "emptiness" of inherent and independent existence. Nothing exists in and of itself, but only in relation to everything else. It is a dynamic void, pregnant with potential, from which every phenomenon arises and into which every phenomenon dissolves.

La forma è precisamente il vuoto, il vuoto è precisamente la forma.""Form is not other than emptiness, emptiness is not other than form. Form is precisely emptiness, emptiness is precisely form."

This paradoxical statement finds a perfect analogy in the Oblivion Time. The Instantaneous Present (the "form") is the only thing that manifests, but its existence is made possible only by the ${\Theta}$ (the "emptiness") that precedes and follows it. Fullness exists only because of the void. ${\Theta}$ is not a mere pause, but the ontological condition for a new instant to arise, different from the previous one. It is the creative void.

Anicca: l'Impermanenza e i Click della RealtàAnicca: Impermanence and the Clicks of Reality

One of the three marks of existence according to the Buddha is Anicca, impermanence. Every composite thing is subject to decay; nothing lasts. The Oblivion Time Theory provides a physical mechanism for this universal law. Existence is not a continuous entity that slowly degrades; it is a very rapid series of births and deaths.

Each Instantaneous Present is "born" from the void of ${\Theta}$ and "dies" in the next ${\Theta}$. The universe, at a fundamental level, is in a state of constant "flickering." A stone appears solid and permanent to us only because our perceptual ${\Theta}$ is immensely slower than the rhythm at which its atoms "click" in and out of existence. Impermanence is not a slow process, but an instantaneous fact, repeated an incalculable number of times.

When one sees this with wisdom, one grows weary of suffering. This is the path to purification."
- Dhammapada, 277

Anattā: il Non-Sé e l'Illusione del FlussoAnattā: Non-Self and the Illusion of Flow

The third mark of existence is Anattā, non-self. Buddhism teaches that there is no solid, permanent, and independent "self." What we call "I" is an aggregate of ever-changing physical and mental processes. The ego is a narrative, not an entity. Here the analogy is direct: just as consciousness creates the illusion of a continuous "self" by stitching together separate thoughts and perceptions, it also creates the illusion of a continuous "time" by stitching together the Instantaneous Presents separated by ${\Theta}$.

The illusion of time and the illusion of self arise from the same mechanism. They are the product of an observer (consciousness) which, being external to the ${\Theta}$ grid, does not perceive the jumps and fills in the voids, creating a fluid story. To understand the absence of a permanent self (Anattā) is, in a sense, to understand the absence of a fluid time.
