Two different temporal clicks: discretion explains the difference.
Come è possibile? The twin paradox is probably the most iconic thought experiment in special relativity. Imagine two twins: one stays on Earth, the other travels through space at near-light speed and then returns. Upon their reunion, it is discovered that the traveling twin has aged less than the one who stayed on Earth. How is this possible? Shouldn't time be the same for both? In the classical view, this is explained by relativistic dilation: the traveler's clock ticked more slowly. But this shift only occurs if we assume that time is continuous.
Il tempo a clickTime by the click
In the Oblivion Time Theory, the paradox is completely re-alphabetized: the twin who remained on Earth lives with an oblivion time ${\Theta_1}$, a sampling time proper to his condition. The traveling twin crosses different masses, accelerates, decelerates, moves at high speeds: for him, his ${\Theta_2}$ dilates, because his gravitational fields and his velocity influence his sampling rhythm.
This means that, for the same conventional time, each twin experiences a different number of instantaneous presents: the terrestrial twin lives a greater number of "clicks" and perceives more instants; the twin in space undergoes a dilution of clicks and perceives fewer instants.
Non è una dilatazione, è una discrezione diversaIt is not a dilation, it is a different discretion
The problem is not that "time slows down": it is that the rhythm of time changes. Each twin jumps between fewer or more instants. And this changes everything: the twin in space has accumulated fewer lived instants, and so his biological body, tied to the presents, has "weakened" in comparison to the other. There is no war between continuous time and relativity: there is a difference in the number of instants, generated by a different ${\Theta}$.
Rilettura del paradossoRe-reading the paradox
In the end, the returning twin is different simply because he has jumped fewer instants than his brother. And when the two compare their diaries—their bodies, experiences, cells—they discover that one has had fewer clicks in his personal film. Thus, the paradox dissolves: it is not time that is fluid or relative. It is the sampling frequency, the number of lived instantaneous presents, that changes. In this way, the paradox becomes clear, intuitive, and coherent with the frame-like structure of reality.
